In Haryana's Ambala city, the temperature was 23 degrees Celsius - 11 degrees below the average, and in Hisar it was 24.4 degrees Celsius, around four degrees below the average. Karnal reorded the temperature of 25 degrees Celsius, eight degrees below the average during this time of the year.
In Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, the mercury settled at 24.6 degrees Celsius - eight degrees below normal.
A drizzle continued in the union territory Friday and 4 mm rainfall was recorded till 5 p.m. On Wednesday and Thursday, 106 and 103.1 mm rainfall respectively was recorded.
