New Delhi, Aug 28 - The Delhi High Court Friday asked the trial court to reconsider its rejection of the closure report filed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) holding that two Kashmiri youth, allegedly said to be terrorists of the Al Badr group, were innocent and had been framed by the Delhi Police.
Hearing the plea of Irshad Ali and Mohd Qamar, Justice M.C.Garg said: 'The investigation was transferred by this court and on its basis, CBI did an inquiry and a closure report was filed. So I refer this matter to the trial court for reconsideration of the report.'
The judge fixed Sep 14 for the hearing in the lower court.
The trial court Feb 13 rejected the closure report of CBI, stating that the facts submitted by the agency were not conclusive and needed a thorough trial.
