New Delhi, Aug 18 - Ahead of the six-day meet of the participating Commonwealth Games 2010 countries here in October this year, the Delhi government Tuesday approved the first phase of the city's look.
'As per approval for the first phase, strategic bus shelters would be developed, neon signs would be displayed and 100 bridge panels would be installed. A number of panels would be installed above the central verge of the road right from the international airport to the Ashok Hotel (where the participants would be staying) and on the roads near games' venues,' an official statement said.
The proposals were finalised at a meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, at Delhi Secretariat Tuesday.
A general assembly meeting of participating countries is scheduled in the national capital in October 2009.
