Amethi, Aug 18 - Congress general secretary and Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi Tuesday said he would do everything possible for the development of Uttar Pradesh if people opted for the Congress in the state.

Rahul, who is on a three-day visit to his constituency, told a huge gathering of villagers after inaugurating a village school: 'The state needs the Congress to ensure allround development of Uttar Pradesh.'

'We are trying our best but the state government is not eager to help the central government for the implementation of developmental schemes', he added.

The school is in the Pakargaon village of Tiloi block of his constituency.

'Be it water, electricity, employment or development, it is only possible if you bestow your trust upon the Congress', Gandhi said.
