The team includes doctors from Chandigarh, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Haryana. They include one orthopaedic surgeon, three gynaecologists, three ophthalmologists, two dental surgeons, three anaesthetists, two general surgeons, and one public health expert.
They left under the leadership of Rotary district governor Chetan Aggarwal.
'During our stay of ten days, our aim is to conduct at least 500 intraocular lens implant surgeries, 30 orthopaedic surgeries, 40 gynae surgeries, 700 dental surgeries, 15 other general surgeries, besides 600 OPDs for malaria, general medicine and rehabilitation,' Aggarwal said.
