Chandigarh, Aug 14 - A team of 15 Indian doctors and six non-medical volunteers left for Congo Friday to provide specialised services to the people there.
The medical services would be provided under the Rotary's Intercontinental Medicare Project.
'As part of our 'serving beyond borders' project, the idea conceived in 1998, this team of doctors will work in a hospital at Brazzaville in Congo,' former Rotary International president Rajendra K. Saboo said.
'Over the years we have been able to motivate doctors and rotary volunteers from India to share their medical expertise with the people who do not have access to specialised services in other countries,' he added.
