Hyderabad had reported the country's first swine flu case May 16. So far, 79 confirmed cases of the virus have been reported in the state. However, no one has died of the virus.

The state government has also decided to set up preliminary screening facilities at all major hospitals.

A top official deputed by the central government held a meeting with Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy and senior officials of the state medical and health department to review the situation.
