Hyderabad, Aug 13 - Two swine flu testing centres are coming up in Andhra Pradesh, one of the states worst-affected by H1NI infection.
One of the two proposed centres will start functioning from Aug 15 at Institute of Preventive Medicine (IPM) while the other facility will be set up next month at the Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), said State Health Secretary L.V. Subramanyam.
With swine flu deaths in other parts triggering panic and the demand for the tests growing, the health authorities have stepped up their efforts to set up the testing centres here.
At present, the samples from the state are being sent to the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in Delhi.
