Pune, Aug 3 - A software engineer surrendered to Pune police Monday and confessed to killing his 24-year-old female colleague, an official said.

Anmol Swaransingh Jabbal, 28, working with a US-based software company Symantec, and Shraddha Chhajed had left home for office as usual last Friday morning, Chaturshringi police station senior police inspector M. Chavan said.

'When they failed to return that evening as per normal time, their worried families lodged missing persons complaint with the police and we were inquiring into the matter,' Chavan told IANS.

Meanwhile, an unidentified body of a young woman was found from Basmat village in neighbouring Hingoli district Saturday morning.
