'The CSMMU should be transformed into a virtual education hub so that it can reach out to the entire nation and scientists, and researchers from across the nation also can work for treatment of heath related problems facing humanity.'

The former president also emphasised the need for multi-disciplinary research in partnership with different institutions.

He said working and succeeding with integrity were the top most qualities of researchers and the CSMMU should inculcate all such qualities to take care of health care delivery system.

'Future research challenges include alleviation of human suffering, providing nutrition at low cost, delivering quality health care to rural people at lower cost,' he said.

The former president also administered an oath to the CSMMU students to work with integrity, inspire research scholars and 'not to introduce any diagnostic pain in their patients.'
