Agartala, July 29 - A team of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has conducted raids at the Tripura University, a central institute, here following complaints of financial irregularities, an official said Wednesday.
'A CBI team led by deputy superintendent of police Biswajit Das conducted raids and interrogated university officials Tuesday and Wednesday following complaints of financial irregularities,' a university official told reporters on condition of anonymity.
The official was unable to disclose the nature and degree of irregularities besides other details of the probe.
Tripura University vice-chancellor Arunoday Saha told IANS: 'I am in the complete dark about the CBI inquiry and raids.
