Glenmark's drug gets US approval

Chennai: Glenmark Generics Ltd's (GGL) US subsidiary has received ANDA approval from the US Food and Drug Administration (USFDA) for Verapamil 240mg Extended Release tablets.

The company Friday said it would immediately commence marketing and distribution in the US market.

Verapamil SR tablets are prescribed to manage essential hypertension.

Now, making tiny tots 'school-ready'

Chennai: City-based Everonn Education, an education and training company via satellite communication, is foraying into the pre-school segment, with the launch of the Kinderstand brand.

The purpose of the move is to partner parents in helping children make the smooth transition from an informal learning environment to a formal education system, to enable a child to become 'school-ready'.

The company will inaugurate 200 pre-schools in the first phase as part of the recently launched Educating India campaign, said P. Kishore, founder and managing director.
