Bangalore, Sep 18 - Leading chip maker Cypress Semiconductor Corp entered into a partnership with the Bhubaneswar Institute of Technology to set up a programmable System on Chip (SoC) laboratory at Bhubaneswar in Orissa, the company said here Friday.
As part of the agreement, signed at Cypress headquarters' at San Jose in California by Bhubaneswar institute's Rabi Mahapatra and Cypress University Alliance director Patrick Kane, the chip maker will provide training to the faculty and students of the Bhubaneswar institute, with free hardware kits and software tools, the company said.

Alcatel-Lucent offers new IP network
Bangalore:Alcatel-Lucent introduced its latest Internet Protocol (IP) as optical backbone network solution to handle multimedia traffic, driven by explosive growth of video and other broadband-intensive applications, the global telecom equipment major said Friday.
With internet video traffic increasing dramatically, demand is increasing for dynamic IP-based services such as business data applications, tele-medicine, video surveillance, collaborative business applications, remote storage and back-up and data centre protection, the company said in a statement here.

3C Company opens new township
New Delhi: The 3C Company, pioneer of green building development, Friday announced the launch its new township, 'Lotus Boulevard Espacia'.
The township is part of India's largest green residential estate in Noida, the company said.
