Vohra has also visited the Pangong Lake in Nyoma sub-division of Leh district. Pangong Lake is one of the largest sweet water lakes in the country, and the other end of the lake is held by the Chinese army which occupied the region's Aksai Chin area during the 1962 war.
Media reports last week said that the some Chinese troops had come to the Indian side of the lake and threatened shepherds there.
An official press release here said the governor addressed the troops in the forward area of Ladakh region and had tea with them.
