C. George, was killed Aug 21 midnight near Alappuzha under suspicious circumstances while travelling in a car with Om Prakash and Rajesh, who face several criminal cases.

'(Kodiyeri) Balakrishnan has failed as a home minister. As the life and property of the people in the state are not safe, he should resign,' added Chennithala.

Last week, Om Prakash and Rajesh surrendered before a court in Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu and were handed over to the Kerala police.

The two were presented to a court in Alappuzha Monday and remanded in police custody for a week.
