Dharamsala, Sep 13 - A US team will meet Tibetan spiritual leader, the Dalai Lama, in this north Indian hill station Monday to finalise details of his proposed US visit and meeting with President Barack Obama next month, officials said Sunday.
Three US officials, including White House adviser Valerie Jarrett, Sunday met Tibetan Prime Minister Samdhong Rinpoche and the Dalai Lama's special envoy Lodi Gyari to finalise the proposed meeting between the spiritual leader and Obama, the local officials said.
Rinpoche and Gyari refused to comment on the visit of the US officials to the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile, which is not recognised by any country.
'We only know that the Dalai Lama is reaching here from his foreign visits late this (Sunday) evening.
