Tehran, Sep 13 (DPA) There will be no nuclear negotiations with the world powers, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said Sunday.
'As far as the Iranian nation is concerned, the nuclear issue is finished,' Ahmadinejad said in a meeting with the new British ambassador to Tehran, Simon Gass.
'Pursuing nuclear technology is the legal and ultimate right of Iran and therefore the Iranian nation will not discuss this right with anybody,' Fars news agency quoted the president as saying.
The president was referring to the demand by the five permanent member states of the United Nations Security Council plus Germany to resume nuclear negotiations with Iran.
'But we are willing to talk (with the world powers) about international cooperation and finding solutions to economic and security problems in the world,' the president added.
