'We have nothing to hide and investigation in the case is going ahead in the right direction. It is unfortunate that a section of the media and political parties, for some reason, have been trying to mislead the investigation by coming out with stories and theories. This will not help. Let the court decide if the investigation was right or wrong,' said Balakrishnan.

Three top Congress leaders Ramesh Chennithala, V.M. Sudheeran and Kannur Lok Sabha member K. Sudhakaran had in three separate meetings with the media Saturday said they suspected foul play in the probe into the George murder case.

Chennithala also alleged that Pinarayi Vijayan, state secretary of Kerala's ruling Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M), had a 'hidden agenda' in the probe into the murder.
