' The CPI-M has also decided to republish popular books and writings of both EMS and Nripen Chakraborty.
'People, especially the younger generation, are not well aware about the life and works of the famous communist leaders of India and this prompted us to organize such a programme,' the Tripura CPI-M party chief said.
EMS died on March 19, 1998, while Nripen Chakraborty expired on Dec 25, 2004.
Meanwhile, the Tripura CPI-M recently expelled 60 party cadres and local leaders for deviating from the communist ideology and launched an enquiry against 163 other party workers.
'We shall not compromise if party members are found deviating from the communist ideology or members are found involved in corruption and other anti-party activities,' Dhar said.
