Shimla, Sep 13 - Himachal Pradesh got relief from heavy rains Sunday after it had poured continuously for more than four days.
'The hill state this (Sunday) morning got relief from heavy rains and moderate snowfall which had continued for more than 100 hours,' Shimla's meteorological office director Manmohan Singh told IANS.
The widespread rainfall had triggered landslides, resulting in closure of link roads and national highways and damage to public and private property.
'The 475-km Manali-Leh highway was reopened for vehicles Sunday. The highway was closed at various locations, including Rohtang Pass (13,050 feet) and the Baralacha Pass (16,020 ft), after snowfall,' said S.
