In order to control the rising number of H1N1 flu deaths in the state, Karnataka's health department has decided to take up a surveillance programme.
'Experts from health department will survey areas and families affected by the flu. Firstly, we'll conduct a door-to-door survey in Bangalore Urban district. The programme will soon start,' Karnataka principal secretary (Health) I.R. Perumal told IANS.
Meanwhile, 29 fresh cases tested positive for the H1N1 Influenza with 24 cases reported only in Bangalore, four in Mysore and one in Gulbarga. Till date 737 people have tested positive for flu in the state.
