New Delhi, Sep 10 - Hockey India (HI) will conduct fresh selection trials for the under-18 boys Asia Cup at Bhopal Sep 19-20.

The earlier camp scheduled from Sep 5 had to be suspended after 50 of the 55 probables were found to have fudged their age.

The 55 boys shortlisted from nearly 100 probables, drawn from various hockey academies across the country, had to undergo medical tests before the first phase of training.

'Hockey India has taken a very strong stand on the issue and has warned the academies and institutions that strict action will taken against such players and the academies and coaches in future,' HI said in a release.

HI also said that action will be taken against the 'erring probables' of the suspended camp.
