Lucknow, Sep 10 - Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav Thursday said the Mayawati government could be termed 'unconstitutional' for flouting orders of the Supreme Court to stop all work at memorial projects across Uttar Pradesh.
Accusing Mayawati of having turned into an 'unbridled dictator', he also threatened to get all the structures pulled down, once his party was voted back to power.
'The manner in which the Mayawati government was going about defying the orders of the Supreme Court is sufficient reason for the apex court to declare it unconstitutional,' he said, referring to the continuing construction at various sites of Mayawati's multi-billion dream projects despite the apex court's specific directives to suspend all work.
'Since Mayawati's actions have clearly displayed her open contempt for the country's highest judicial forum, we, as a political party, would have to act and run a bulldozer over the buildings and monuments erected by her with public money on public land worth hundreds of crores,' he said, addressing a press conference here.
