The Ghaziabad police then contacted the Muzaffarnagar police and took the accused to the spot. The local police confirmed that an unidentified body of a child was recovered from the canal. They had cremated the child and kept his clothes, on the basis of which Arora made the identification.
'Prakash confessed that he had a dispute with Arora over sharing the money they had won in gambling. He was angry with the boy's father after he refused to share the money. So, he hatched a plan to kill his son,' the police officer said.
'Prakash and his son have been arrested while their accomplice is absconding,' the police officer added.
