The high point of her career came when she spearheaded South Korea to the semifinals of the 2000 Sydney Olympics with a 13.9 PPG (points per game) average and the 2002 FIBA World Championship for Women (14.8 PPG).
She was subsequently dropped from the team but made a strong comeback into the national squad to lead South Korea to the gold medal in the 22nd FIBA Asia Championship for Women at Incheon.
Scoring almost in double-digits in all the games for an average of 11.3 PPG, Jung Sun-min was at the forefront yet again as South Korea entered the last eight at the Beijing Olympics last year.
More recently, the 34-year-old led the Shinhan Bank S-Birds to victory at the 2009 William Jones competition beating the Chinese Taipei by a lop-sided 67-48 margin in the final.
