With 643 cases, Delhi is number two in terms of positive cases followed by Karnataka (430 cases). In terms of deaths the southern state stands second after Maharashtra.
According to the union health ministry, authorities are trying their best to control the spread of the disease.
'On Aug 29, 35,926 passengers were screened at 83 counters (at airports) mandated by 225 doctors and 172 paramedics,' the ministry said adding that so far over 5.3 million passengers have been screened in the country.
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO), at least 209,438 lab-confirmed swine flu cases have been reported worldwide till Friday. About 2,100 people have died globally, mostly in Mexico and the US.
