The term of the present assembly was to end in March 2010. But now fresh elections are likely to be held in October.

Haryana Governor Jagannath Pahadia had dissolved the assembly Aug 21 after the state cabinet recommended its dissolution.

'The officials against whom the commission has recommended disciplinary action or who have been charged for any lapse in election related work or who were transferred under the orders of the commission may not be assigned any election related duty,' the spokesperson added.
