'The online certificate course is aimed at public information officers (PIOs), assistant public information officers (APIOs), appellate authorities, officials assisting the above designated officers or other public officials, citizens, representatives of civil society organisations (including media organisations) or any other person who could be a direct/indirect stakeholder,' the statement added.

One of the main objectives of the course is to reach out to those who have not had an opportunity to participate in any training or sensitization initiatives on the RTI Act 2005.
