ITDC to bring 35 hotels under 'Ashok' brand
New Delhi: State-run India Tourism Development Corp (ITDC) Thursday said it is planning to bring up to 35 hotels under the 'Ashok' brand by the end of next year. At present, ITDC has two hotels under the Askok brand.
'We are planning for expansion and expect that by the end of next year will be able to bring 35 hotels under the Ashok brand,' Kuldip Verma, vice-president, corporate marketing, told reporters here.

Kerala IT project wins national award
Thiruvananthapuram: The Karshaka Information Systems Services and Networking (Kissan), an agri-information portal of the Kerala government, has won the e-India Agriculture Award 2009.
The award, under the 'ICT-enabled agricultural initiative' category, recognises excellence in the field of agricultural production, agricultural marketing and agro-business with use of information and communication technology (ICT).

Escorts expects 12 projects turnover growth
Kolkata: Escorts Group, one of India's largest engineering companies, has projected a turnover growth of 12 percent in 2008-09 to reach Rs.2,300 crore, the company's deputy general manager of sales Vivek Malik has said.
The company's turnover was Rs.2,050 crore in 2007-08.
