Mumbai, Aug 25 - Public sector lender Punjab National Bank Tuesday said it would raise Rs.500 crore through the issue of bonds to meet its capital requirements.
'The bank will be raising Rs.500 crore through PNB Tier I perpetual bonds,' it said in a regulatory statement.
The issue of bonds opens Tuesday and will close Aug 28, it added.

Maruti Suzuki launches new Estilo
New Delhi Indo-Japanese car maker Maruti Suzuki Tuesday launched a new petrol version of its hatchback Estilo, priced between Rs.3.12 lakh and Rs.3.95 lakh at showrooms in the national capital. The group also dropped the car's 'Zen' prefix.
The new model is equipped with a 998 cc, three-cylinder petrol engine. According to the company, it is not only more powerful than the earlier version but also better in terms of fuel efficiency, besides being compliant with the latest emission norms.

ABB India bags Rs.128-crore order
Bangalore: Power and automation technology group Asea Brown Boveri (ABB) India has bagged an order worth Rs.128.3 crore from Power Grid Corp for setting up a 400 KV gas insulated switchgear sub-station at Navsari in south Gujarat.
When installed and commissioned in 2011, the sub-station will strengthen the power transmission network in the western grid, the company said in a statement Tuesday.
'Gas insulated switchgear offers a compact footprint which makes it flexible and ideal for densely populated and urban areas, where space is at a premium,' ABB managing director Biplab Majumder said.
