New Delhi, July 15 - Nayonika Chatterjee and Laxmi Rana are not only successful models but also good homemakers. They say the freedom to pick and choose their assignments gives them plenty of time for their families and children unlike other working women.

'Every working woman has to follow office timings and they have to make adjustments according to that. But things are different with us. We are our own bosses and decide which assignment to take. In my case, I choose my assignments according to my priorities,' model Nayonika Chatterjee told IANS on phone from Kolkata.

Chatterjee has been married to model-turned-actor Gurpreet Singh for the last eight years and has a six-year old daughter.

'Right now my priority is my daughter; so I have divided my time in such a way that I give equal time to everything - be it family, work or friends. If I feel my daughter needs me, I would not make any modelling commitments,' said Chatterjee.

Another model, Laxmi Rana, who is married to an army officer, says that a married model should be grounded.

'Modelling is a very glamorous profession, but when you come back home you are like any other housewife. You are back to reality where you have to take care of everything. If glamour gets on to someone's head, then it is a real difficult situation,' maintained Rana, who has been married for the last four years.

In the modelling circuit, most of the known models like Amanpreet Wahi, Laxmi Rana, Sonalika Sahay, Bhawana Sharma and Joey Matthew among others are married.

Rana also feels that models can be good homemakers because they work like freelancers.

'We work in seasons basically. So usually it's during fashion weeks that we are busy or if there is any photo shoot.
