Scalene is in the process of getting similar certification from Malaysia and Canada to comply with local regulations.
'We have subjected the device to stringent tests under the CE programme for certification. This will pave way for exporting Cytotron worldwide in compliance with country-specific regulations,' said R.A. Venkitachalam, Underwriters Laboratories managing director for emerging markets.
Scalene has so far sold 14 machines, priced at about Rs.2.5 crore, in India.
'We are targeting sales of about 1,000 machines worldwide over the next six-seven years,' Kumar said.
