'While writing a book one must choose the genre that suits the character and should be written in simple language. Pen pictures, emotional punches, suspense, adventure and heightened reality give more effect to your stories. Dialogues give life to the book and are very crucial,' Mishra told the gathering.
'Carry the same style throughout the book and be careful of the landscape and community while elaborating the atmosphere.'
Mishra has published four novels. Her book 'Secrets and Lies' have been launched recently. She has written several books on special needs, child care, as a broadcast journalist, and is currently employed as a film and video examiner at the British Board of Film Classification in London.
