Amethi, Aug 18 - It came as a shock for ace Indian pace bowler R.P. Singh when Congress general secretary and Amethi MP Rahul Gandhi walked past him without noticing him.

However, local leaders accompanying Gandhi drew his attention to this after which he approached Singh and had a brief chat with him. R.P. Singh hails from Rae Bareli, the constituency of Rahul's mother and Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.

It happened during the inauguration ceremony of the Rajiv Gandhi Vidyapeeth, a primary school, in the Pakargaon village of the Tioli block in the Amethi constituency.

'RP was waiting anxiously at the VIP entrance of the venue when Rahulji walked past without noticing him.
