The prime minister also described cross-border terrorism as 'the most pervasive threat' facing India and stressed the need for continuing vigilance.
Referring to the July 16 India-Pakistan joint statement in Egypt in which the prime minister had agreed to delink terror from the dialogue process between the two countries, leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Advani wondered: 'Now, how will the prime minister make consensus on his previous statement and this statement?'
Advani, who reached the Peterhoff hotel where the chintan baithak would be held, refused to discuss anything about this meeting.
