Patna, Aug 18 - Over 20 people, including six women, have been killed by lightning in different parts of Bihar in the last couple of days, officials said Tuesday.
Most of the victims killed Sunday and Monday were farm labourers and farmers.
Official sources in the State Disaster Management Department said that more than 10 people were killed by lightning when they were busy transplanting paddy Monday afternoon. Six people were killed in Patna, four in Aurangabad and two in Bhojpur district.
At least 12 people were killed and over half a dozen injured Sunday when lightning struck them in the districts of Jamui, Munger, Lakhisarai and Patna.
