Amethi, Aug 17 - Congress general secretary and MP from Amethi Rahul Gandhi Monday visited a nursery school, sat on the ground with children and and chatted with them for an hour.
Gandhi paid a surprise visit to the school in Pure Chahar Khalispur village. 'He sat on the ground, took children in his laps and talked to them about an hour. He asked them about their studies and also tossed questions related to the nation,' Gopal, a villager, told reporters.
Gandhi, who was in Jagdishpur, the main town of his constituency, to inaugurate the stamping unit in the Jagdishpur plant of Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) also interacted with women from a self help group.
'He (Gandhi) attended a meeting of a self help group of the women of the block in the Navodaya Vidyalaya for about an hour,' state congress spokesperson A.
