Lovely said the remote sensing technology measures HC (hydro-carbon), CO (Carbon-Monoxide), CO2 and NOx emitted from individual vehicles running on the road.
'In addition to pollution levels, vehicle speed and vehicles picture is also recorded in the computer system. That picture of the vehicles would also help the department in keeping a check on vehicles overloaded with passengers or goods,' the minister said.
