'There is credible information of ongoing plans of terrorist groups in Pakistan to carry out fresh attacks. The area of operation of these terrorists today extends far beyond the confines of Jammu and Kashmir and covers all parts of our country,' the prime minister added.
Naqvi said his party favoured good relations with Pakistan but not at the cost of India's security.
Targetting the prime minister for the India-Pakistan joint declaration at Sharm el-Sheikh in July, BJP spokesperson Ravi Shankar Prasad said: 'If Prime Minister Manmohan Singh says what he means (at the chief ministers' conference), then a serious question arises over the entire joint declaration'.
