Stalin said: 'It is requested that manpower cost towards maintaining Quick Reaction Teams in districts and cities for internal security management may be borne by the centre. Funding for training manpower in internal security may also be provided for.'

According to him, Tamil Nadu is strengthening its special branch by adding more men and offering special allowance as a motivating factor.

'Our government has come up with a detailed Crisis Management Plan and Standard Operating Procedure in response to extremists' attacks,' he added.

Citing the anti-Maoist operations in the past, Stalin said the state has included implementation of socio-economic development plans in affected districts.
