The girl left the campus even before health officials of the AMC could reach her and admit her to an isolation ward in one of the city hospitals, the official said.

The student reported high fever Aug 13 and subsequent blood reports tested positive for swine flu, an official of AMC's health department said.

The AMC health team has now asked the institute management to monitor the health of the students closely and report any sickness among them immediately in case they need to be isolated, he added.
