Hyderabad, Aug 13 - Peter Gade says he will do whatever it takes to avenge his defeat by 'Super' Lin Dan at the Beijing Olympics when the two meet here in Friday's quarter-final.
In the process, the Danish World No. 3 would like to add the missing World Championship title to his silverware.
In the first high-profile clash of the championships, Gade would also like to stop the Chinese from becoming the first shuttler to win a hat-trick of World titles.
Gade, 32, is aware that it's a tough ask. He also considers the Chinese as an all-time badminton great, but then he has been fighting the Chinese all through his career.
'He (Dan) is a great player, but on my day I know I can beat him,' said Gade, who was beaten by Dan at the Beijing quarter-final.
Gade, the 1999 All-England Champion, has 16 Grand Prix titles and was the World No. 1. He is determined to 'fight for every point' to win the world title.
'He (Dan) is young and the pressure would be on him.
