He was first admitted to a hospital at Bhilai town from where he was referred to the Ambedkar Hospital where an emergency swine flu centre has been set up by the state government.

'The patient was admitted to the hospital Aug 12 (Wednesday) but he died while undergoing treatment on the same day,' Choudhary said.

Choudhary said 43 blood samples have been sent from his hospital in the past three days for swine flu tests.

'Many of them have voluntarily opted for blood sample profiling as they have travelled outside the state and even the country, particularly in those areas where swine flu cases have been reported,' he said.
