Raipur, Aug 13 - An 18-year-old man, who returned from Pune last week and had shown common flu like symptoms, has died in a Chhattisgarh hospital. Doctors Thursday said it was yet to be confirmed if the death was caused by swine flu.
'As of now, we are not in a position to either confirm or deny whether it was a case of swine flu death,' Vivek Choudhary, superintendent of Dr.Bhimrao Ambedkar Government Medical College and Hospital, told reporters Thursday evening.
'His blood sample had already been sent to Delhi for testing and we are waiting for the report. We are describing his death caused due to cardio pulmonary arrest,' he said.
Sitaram Verma, who was working in Pune, returned home in Bemetara in Durg district last week after the Maharashtra city was gripped by the H1N1 virus.
