Mumbai, August 13 - The Indian cricket board said Thursday that former Indian Cricket League (ICL) players, who were granted amnesty, are eligible to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL).

The working committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), that met here at the Wankhede Stadium, also decided that the former ICL players can get between Rs.800,000 and a maximum of Rs.2 million in the IPL.

BCCI secretary N. Srinivasan said in a statement that the committee has also decided to increase the prize money of Ranji Trophy winners to a whopping Rs.20 million from Rs.6 million. The runners-up will get Rs.10 million while the losing semi-finalists will get Rs.5 million each.

The BCCI also decided to nominate umpires Amish Saheba, Shavir Tarapore and TV umpire Sanjay Hazare to the International Cricket Council (ICC) International Panel.
