Chandigarh, Aug 13 - A junior clerk of the Guru Nank Dev University (GNDU) in Punjab's holy city Amritsar has been arrested for allegedly posting morphed nude photographs of faculty members on social networking sites, police said Thursday.

The GNDU registrar had complained to the police a few days ago that somebody was posting morphed objectionable photographs of both male and female faculty members on the Internet.

After investigations, police arrested Arun Mahajan, a clerk in the Urdu department, Wednesday evening. Amritsar is about 250 km from here.

'We have arrested the main accused and we suspect that some more people are also involved in this scandal.
