Chandigarh, Aug 12 - In a bid to commemorate the spirit of Chandigarh, the local administration in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is organising a campaign called 'Wah! Chandigarh - Celebrating the Spirit of Chandigarh'.

The three-month campaign will start Aug 13 and include an assortment of activities that will involve almost every resident.

'This campaign is a salute to Chandigarh's unflagging enterprising spirit and mystically peaceful and all embracing environs that attract people from all across the world,' Chandigarh Home-cum-Cultural Secretary Ram Niwas said here Wednesday.

'Chandigarh has taken a huge leap forward in its uniqueness that really needs to be celebrated through such events. Its open hand emblem conveys the social message of peace, harmony and unity in diversity that is 'open to give and open to receive',' he added.
