Shimla, Aug 11 - The Himachal Pradesh police Tuesday filed the charge sheet against four medical students accused of allegedly ragging a first-year student, leading to his death in March this year, officials said.
Aman Kachru, 19, died March 8, a few hours after being allegedly ragged by the students of the Rajendra Prasad Medical College at Tanda town in the state's Kangra district.
'The police Tuesday filed the charge sheet in the fast track court of Judge Pushpinder Vaid in Dharamsala,' district deputy attorney B.K. Marwah told IANS on phone.
The next hearing would be held Oct 23, he said.
Four students accused - Ajay Verma, Naveen Verma, Abhinav Verma and Mukul Sharma - facing murder charge under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code, were arrested soon after the death of Kachru.
