Hyderabad, Aug 11 - The news of Malaysian doubles coach, quarantined with possible swine flue symptoms, has caused concern for some of the participating teams at the World Badminton Championships here.

Though the Badminton World Federation (BWF) and health officials Tuesday said there was no need for any panic as the chances of the coach being affected with H1N1 virus are low, but the development clearly rattled some.

The Malaysian coach complained of fever and a sore throat Monday and was admitted to the Government Chest hospital. The result of his sample test will come in 48 hours.

The fear of the virus was evident at the venue with officials, media and players moving around with masks as a precautionary measure.

Hordes of national and local television channels have been covering the development extensively, seeking the players' views on swine flu and the precautions they are taking.

'I have seen all the news on television. Honestly, it is scary,' Indonesian player Taufiq Hidayat said.

Norwegian player Steinar Klausen agrees.
