Hyderabad, Aug 11 - The media went overboard after news broke that a Malaysian coach at the World Badminton Championships was quarantined after he developed swine flu symptoms.
With rumour mills abuzz how players and officials were being screened for the H1N1 virus, hordes of reporters from national and local TV channels were seen firing questions to players on swine flu.
'We travel quite often and we know what precautions to take. We have been told at the airport to report if we have fever,' said Norwegian player Steinar Klausen.
Klausen and a fellow player immediately touched their forehands to check for fever. Quite a scare!

Why masks?
The organisers have taken every possible steps to prevent swine flu, but there are still some who do not appreciate the seriousness of the situation.
One of the Indian coaches had a first hand experience.
'I was taking some kids to see the matches. Three kids were wearing masks after all that we heard about swine flu today. At the entrance, I was asked: 'Why the masks, there is no threat of swine flu'.
'I had to point out how much is being reported about swine flu and that we do not want to take a chance,' he added.
